Hi, Tiffany here! I’m excited to introduce you to my new newsletter, The Velvetstyle Viewpoint. Velvetstyle is my company, and Viewpoint is my perspective. In this newsletter, you’ll get my thoughts, updates, and insights on my planning life mixed in with some travel and reviews.

I don’t know about you, but I often overthink and second-guess myself, which usually results in not doing things. This newsletter was actually supposed to launch three months ago, but here we are. So, my Q2 mantra is Just Do It (NIKE, please don’t sue me). I’m putting out fresh content, new offers, accepting new opportunities, and being more visible. Want to know more? Keep reading...

It doesn’t matter when you start, just start.

What's Inside

My Q1 Wrap Up

In December 2024, I decided to map out how I wanted the following year to go for me set some business, personal, and financial goals. Here is a quick snapshot so far:

Financial

Business

Personal

Created a budget & saved money

Started a YouTube channel

Focused on self care

Increased my credit score

Increased my visibility with livestreams

Booked a cruise

This year, I’ve made it a goal to show up more online and share more about both my travels and my work in the event industry. I started livestreaming with a fellow event professional, and each time, it’s felt more natural and easier to do.

In December, I also accepted a contract role as a Senior Event Planner, managing high-value meetings across various cities. In just four months, I’ve already booked 20 meetings nationwide and am supporting four large-scale retreats in different U.S. regions.

It’s hard to believe how much has happened in such a short time—I’ve completed multiple event projects and traveled to four different destinations for conferences, site visits, and meetings with suppliers.

Excited to see what Q2 brings! How did your Q1 go? I’d love to hear what you’ve been up to, let’s catch up at our next coffee chat!

Where I’ve Been

I’d love to highlight more destinations! Reach out if you represent a destination or property I should write about!

Where I’ll Be Next

As an independent event planner for corporations, associations, and small businesses, I regularly attend conferences and industry events to connect with destination suppliers and discover new venues for upcoming programs. I’m often surprised about the amazing properties that I never would have known about had I not learned about them in person!

Site selection and venue sourcing is a service offering that I have. If you are interested in a location or venue for an upcoming event, I invite you to book a venue sourcing consultation with me.

If you are a supplier attending an upcoming event or would like me to highlight your property on my blog, please reach out via email. I’m also available for FAM trips and destination previews to highlight on my blog. Here’s where I’ll be:

  • April: Dominican Republic Trade Show, Miami; Connect, Las Vegas; Destination West, Colorado Springs

  • May: GMITE, Chateau Elan in Georgia

  • June: Incentive LIVE, Puerto Rico

Looking Ahead

If hosting an in-person event or retreat is on your 2025 to-do list, I’d love to help you bring it to life. Whether you need expert planning support or just a little inspiration, feel free to reach out!
